Copper and steel are two different metals, each with its unique properties. Both are metals used for different products and purposes. At Interalu, we consciously choose steel ceilings. This is a well-considered decision as we strive for a circular and sustainable product.

Why we opt for steel

One of the effects of copper is oxidation. On the one hand, a positive chemical effect because it forms a protective outer layer that prevents further corrosion. On the other hand, this oxidation entails costs at a later stage, for example due to poor operation, repairs or difficult maintenance.

At Interalu, we deliberately chose steel ceilings in combination with PE-RT pipes. Steel does not oxidise and remains a reliable product. In addition, it is fully circular as our steel ceilings are fully recyclable. By choosing PE-RT piping, we avoid copper piping, which incurs costs at a later stage.

A strong piece of craftsmanship

Thanks to the combination of steel ceilings and our click system, which does not use glue, we do not need to damage our materials when dismantling them. All our materials can be reused. Our clips click into the steel support profiles, our PE-RT pipes click into the clips and our steel ceiling panels click into our support profiles.

This allows us to completely disassemble the ceiling if one day it no longer needs to be used. This allows us to work waste-free by making (environmentally) conscious choices. With our craftsmanship, we are happy to contribute to a greener future.
